Events? We got em’.

I haven’t forgotten about you my faithful readers of The Cigar Soldier.  It’s just that I’ve been so busy this summer that I haven’t had much time in front of my keyboard to spread my useless wisdom.  Checking the calendar I can’t believe that we’re already cruising into June and will be closing in on the dog days of summer before long.  Where the hell has the time gone?  That’s the reason it’s so important to take time out of your busy schedule to enjoy cigars outside before the snow starts to fly and the weather restricts us to hiding out indoors again.  It will be here before we know it but of course it gives me something else to bitch about so that’s kinda nice.

Now before depression sets in since most of you guys just realized that you have yet to actually enjoy the few months of high heat and unbearable humidity we’re known for here in the great white north, I have lots of event updates for you.  Before I get too far into that, don’t forget about my little contest that’s still running for our club members; for every new member you sign up, you get FREE CIGARS!  That means a chance to win monthly prizes plus I’ll have a nice end of the year package for the member who introduces the most new faces to the group.  You must be a paid member in good standing and you’ll receive credit once your referral is fully paid.  It’s that simple.

Here are some details on the events coming up over the next few weeks.  Be sure to check the Events Calendar kristoffonline so you don’t miss anything.

June 6th – Kristoff Cigars Event – 5pm to 10pm

Glen Case, the owner of Kristoff Cigars, is coming to Titletown Tobacco!  It’s your chance to meet a brand owner in person while stocking up on some great cigars.  There will lots of specials to take advantage of so be sure to stop down for this big event.  Check out the link for more details: https://www.facebook.com/events/532365263490286/

June 8th – Smoke the Bellin – 7:30am to 9:30am

For those of you not running in The Bellin feel free to join your fellow cigar fanatics for coffee, doughnuts, stogies and even some Bloody Mary’s.  It’s the Annual Smoke The Bellin gathering.  We’ll have our very own smoking section in front of Titletown Tobacco to cheer on the race goers.  Bring your lawn chair to snatch a good spot to enjoy what has become a great tradition.

June 8th – 2nd Annual Spokes & Smoke – 3pm to 9pm

This will be the Second Annual rally to raise money for the Desert Veterans of Wisconsin.  Last year, with your help, Titletown Tobacco sent over 100 cigars to our overseas soldiers so it’s time to step up and help generate some more money for this amazing organization.  If you have a motorcycle or just want to see some great bikes, please stop down for a while.  There will be live music, fire house chili, brat fry and some very nice raffle items.

June 9th – 12 Volt Band at Gameday – 4pm to 8pmband-shot-2

Okay now I know this isn’t specifically a “cigar event”, but what else is there to do on a Sunday Funday but come see The Cigar Soldier belt out some classic rock tunes in the areas best tiki bar?  We’ll be in the Landsharks Lounge for an afternoon of fun in the sun so make the short drive down for some live music, cold drinks and of course a cigar while kicking back with your toes in the sand.

June 15th – Brotherhood Fun Run – 9:30am to 7pm

It’s our annual attempt at a day of riding motorcycles and driving classic cars.  Open to anyone that wants to ride or follow in a four door buggy to Door County where we have a number of stops planned to enjoy some lunch, some beverages and of course a cigar or two.  We will meet in the Titletown Tobacco parking lot by 9:30 and plan to hit the road no later than 10am.  We have a tentative route planned so for more information please check it out on our FaceBook page: https://www.facebook.com/events/187579991394130/

June 19th – The Cigar Soldier’s Birthday

This one is self explanatory so I’ll clear space in one of my humidors for you to lavish me with gifts.

June 22nd – Titletown Tobacco 4th Annual Golf Outing – Tee off at 11:30am

This has always been a great time and the group is going back to Thornberry Creek again this year. The cost is $100 per golfer and comes with a whole list of goodies: 18 holes of golf with a cart, cigars, drink tickets, a hot lunch on the course, hole prizes, post event dinner and of course prizes for 1st and 2nd places. There is a signup sheet on the Titletown Tobacco website and on their facebook page, so register your team and drop off your forms at the shop for your chance to compete!

July 2nd – Cigar Night – 5pm to 10pmashtray

We’ll attempt to enjoy another evening outside for our Cigar Night so stock up the travel humidor, cooler and your lawn chair to hang out at The Deck Dogs (Paul Frietag) for some camaraderie.  We will have ice to chill down your bottles or mix up a cocktail so bring your beverage of choice and a snack to share.  We’ve all made the short drive to Paul’s place before so let’s overwhelm him again.  The address is 5036 E. Ronsman Road in the thriving metropolis of New Franken.  See you anytime after 5!

So there ya have it, not a lot of other hot topics from The Cigar Soldier today but I wanted to get these dates out so you guys have time to get your parent consent forms signed by the wife so she’ll let your lazy ass out of the house to attend some of them.  I can almost guarantee that no other group of cigar enthusiasts anywhere has access to as many fun gatherings as you cats so I hope you appreciate all the work that goes into pulling off these puppies.  I know that for me and the gang at Titletown Tobacco, it’s done because of our shared passion for fine cigars.  Actually it’s fun as hell also!

Enjoy your summer and smoke em up boys,
