I hate (most) politicians and have tried very hard to keep my temperament when it involves politics because unless it directly effects our ability to enjoy a cigar, I believe you guys have thousands of choices from people way more qualified than me to get your news and political information from. The problem is I just can’t contain myself any longer though on some recent events.
Most of you gents are from Wisconsin so you already know the drama in Madison over Scott Walkers budget repair bill, for the rest of you just bear with me for a bit because you might enjoy this. You fellas are hopefully smart enough to make your own decision on whether or not you agree with what is in the bill or what the potential outcome may bring so I’ll leave that up to you. I will guess that many of us can agree that Wisconsin is going broke and like me you are sick of paying for it. We all know something needs to be done but over the last few days there were a handful of events that just sent me overboard.
First of all, sorry if I piss you all off here, Fuck those teachers that claim “it’s all about the children” and then bail on work leaving the kids behind to play with finger paints when they should be learning something productive while you run off to Madison to protest the Governor. The taxpayers of Wisconsin are paying your wages so you can live out your so-called Nobel profession to mold the potential great minds of the next generation and yet your actions say the exact opposite with this perceived selfish gimmie gimmie attitude. This may come across as mean but if you don’t think you make enough money or don’t have good enough benefits then get a new fucking job and stop your whining that teachers don’t make enough. Regardless of your job title, if you honestly don’t think you get paid enough than go into the free market place with your education and talents and get a job that pays you what you think you are worth! Based on this report by CBS most teachers don’t appear to be even doing their fucking job anyway! The rest of the working world has quotas, sales goals or at least minimum performance requirements to achieve or maintain and if they continually do not reach them it should come as no surprise to you that the rest of the working world will lose their job. When you fail to educate the countries children with even basic math, science and reading skills, which to me seem like minimum requirements, you get more job security and money thrown at you and the school system because obviously that will make it all better.
This is where you can deflect the blame for your failure to the Bureaucrats for tying your hands and not giving you the tools to succeed in the classroom. Yeah, those same Bureaucrats YOU continually elect and support. What a fucking joke. We spend more than any country per student and still come up short and I think it’s tragic. I have no kids, so maybe my view here is slightly skewed but I’m so sick of shelling out money for schools and teachers that SUCK. I’m sick of shelling out money for tons of other bullshit that our government jams down our throat as well so this is not intended to be an attack on teachers, especially since the vast majority of them across the state showed up for work and did the job they are being paid by us to do as well as most other state employees and I truly thank you for that. Unlike the 14 Democratic Senators who were elected to go to Madison and govern based on the will the of the people who elected them but instead ran away like fucking cowards and are not doing their jobs. This is really a great lesson for the youth in our state, if you don’t like something just run away and hide until you get your way. You people make me sick! And for anyone that supports this bullshit of them not doing the job they are being paid to do I hate to imagine what you would be saying if this was the other way around and 14 Republicans turned tail and jetted down to Illinois. The demands for their resignation would make national news.
The part that pissed me off the most though was the complete ignorance and visceral hatred shown by many of the protesters at the capital while our elected state Senators were still in hiding not doing their jobs. Oh, I mentioned that already? I guess that’s kind of a big deal. I saw countless signs and heard numerous interviews from complete whack jobs that just got me seething mad. I am not Jewish and it’s not my intention to take a stand for anyone that is, but the comparison of what Scott Walker is doing to that of Hitler’s treatment of Jewish people is so fucking crazy I could just scream. Painting little mustaches on pictures of Governor Walker along with all the references to him doing exactly what Adolf Hitler did to an entire race of people is so sickening every last one of us should be outraged. How mentally fucked in the head are you that you feel like it’s a fair comparison to say that making changes to state workers collective bargaining rights is akin to murdering roughly 6 million people for no reason. Let me get this straight, those protestors claim that by pushing through this bill (hey, elections have consequences per Barry Obama and yet the Republicans didn’t run away and hide in the wake of his health care reform that was hammered up our ass like a gigantic suppository) the effects it will have on those state employed workers receiving their pay from MY tax dollars is exactly like being abducted, forced into concentration camps to be stripped, starved, tortured and ultimately murdered en masse? Sounds about the same huh? What the fuck is wrong with you?
Yeah I get it, you’re pissed off because your team got smoked in the last election worse than a bong in Obama’s dorm room on a Friday night while attending Accidental College (er….I mean Occidental College) but making comparisons to a psychopath hell bent on the complete extermination of an entire population by murdering them is retarded no matter how you look at it. These cretins, including many teachers, spout such hate from their self proclaimed “party of tolerance” as an attempt to target the only group of people that are easy prey because they are so naive, so easily swayed by peer pressure and so unready to make their own decisions as mature adults. Yes, Southerners. Oh, also teenagers. This shit has to stop from BOTH PARTIES because I gotta tell ya, the American public is getting sick of it. If you really want to see how well you align with with people of this country keep yourselves hitched to that wagon loaded down with the dolts that honestly believe our Governor is the same type of evil as Hitler. I get it, you hate the guy for winning and don’t like what he is trying to do with his seat as the elected Governor in the state of Wisconsin so claiming he is doing the exact same thing a tyrant who tortured and killed millions makes sense to you. I’ll wait for the statistics on how many people Governor Walker has murdered with his budget repair bill since apparently it’s the same. That mentality is disgusting. As a matter of fact, if you are one of those people that freely toss around the Hitler comparisons and the other hateful ramblings, regardless of being Republican or Democrat, you need to go away. That’s right, I’m asking you to go away because this shit offended me so bad I honestly don’t think I could tolerate your existence. That’s right, FUCK YOU and please go away!
Obama is not Hitler. I believe he is a Socialist at heart, but he is not Hitler. Scott Walker is also not Hitler. You know who is like Hitler? Nobody except Adolf Hitler. He was arguably the worst person to ever set foot on this planet and maybe I’m making a bigger deal out of this than I should, but those disgraceful assholes who use this comparison make me sick. I find it extremely degrading to anyone that went through or had family go through one of the worst times in our history to say that making you contribute to your own pension fund is equivalent to what Adolf did to Jewish people in Auschwitz-Birkenau, Belzac, Chelmno, Majdanek, Sobibor and Tremblika. Look them up yourselves casue I’m sick of doing all the work to prove these people are complete ass-hats.

Since when does a tenure based system become better than a merit based system? I agree about the point if you dont like it, get another job. What state are you going to go to and make more money anyway (oops, I forgot, its all about the children — which is why it was so important to have districts closed because of numbers protesting). Better yet, take a look at the wages of the superintendents and supervisors of the school districts and start cutting the fat there, as your major bitch about the economy is the rich getting all of the benefits. Furthermore, WEAC has supported former governor Doyle AND invested heavily in Barrett in his losing bid to Walker. It is nothing more than a political display over spilled milk and other unions misinterpreting this as a way to “bust unions” to gain support for their sheep, which they are making believe will be culled next.

If you lived in Milwaukee as a middle class, or any class, parent who cares about there children, MPS is NOT AN OPTION. Every parent in Milwaukee, and most of Wisconsin, knows the shambles and poor performance of MPS, and its inability to provide a decent education to children of any age, yet soaks up the majority of education dollars spent by the taxpayers. MPS is a joke, and shuld be privatized,! An excellent column written by you, and very insightful…Kudos Cigar Soldiers !!

Just wiating on things to finish up there in Wisconsin so it can travel across the country and hit California (my home state) dead in the ass. Politics on both sides need to have a complete restart. Not the good ol boy “whos next in line” crap that goes on.
My wife is a Principal at a school. So I see some of both sides and still say there should be no tenure or lifetime bennifits after retirement that are out there. WHAT THE???
While we are at it..Lets shit can the Union reps that cause all these problems and make some people think they are OWED just because of a job. EARN IT.
