Cigaro de Mayo

Posted By on April 29, 2009

Hola Gringos!  Can you believe that it’s almost May and that summer will be upon us before we know it.  Hot milfs in swimsuits, cigars on the deck, cold beer from a ice filled cooler………whew, where was I?  Oh yeah, come out to help celebrate The Brotherhood’s version of May 5th as we party to “Cigaro de Mayo” at The Vault.  Bring a guest or your landscaper to relax with your pals while enjoying a cigar and cerveza as we  kick off the second month of our membership drive.  The response from our last Cigar Night was astonishing and I’m really looking forward to signing up more of you guys this May.  I will have the shirts, membership cards and club logo sticker (for those that didn’t get one yet) at this coming Cigar Night but feel free to contact me if you would like to pick up your goodies in advance.

The guys from Titletown Tobacco will be there with a real treat for you fellas to take advantage of with your new membership cards.  Remember you don’t need to be a paying member of the club to purchase cigars from the guys but why the hell wouldn’t you sign up with the club the get the unbelievable discount they offer?  Hell if Arlen Specter can’t even decide what freakin team he plays for, I guess I can’t hold you cats to any higher standard than our elected officials.  Mike and Aaron are bringing in the Don Pepin JJ Series Belicoso with a natural wrapper and The Vengeance Maduro Ligero in a Robusto size so plan to stock up.  Don Pepin Garcia was born in Cuba and as a master cigar roller and blender has in a short period of time become creator and maker of numerous highly sought after boutique brands. He is responsible for blending some of the highest rated smokes for major companies and Pepin’s work has taken him from an almost unknown in the industry to near superstar status with the popularity of his blends and limited release cigars.  The JJ Series is a blend of Nicaraguan Corojo and Criollo long-leaf tobaccos inside a Nicaraguan Corojo wrapper. The result is a medium to full-bodied smoke layered with deep flavors.  As for the Vengeance Maduro Ligero, it’s made up of an oily Brazilian wrapper with 66% ligero tobacco in the Nicaraguan and Dominican blend inside a Criollo 98 binder. You will get a taste profile from this cigar many of you have never experienced before.  Made by Exclusive Cigars, the makers of Kristoff cigars which the guys brought a few months back, this cigar is a completely different animal than the normal Kristoff blend so I recommend you give it a try.

We are in the works of planning a few more summer outings including our first annual ‘SmokinCycles Run’.  I have been getting input from a few club members to plan the route with a few stops to enjoy a cigar and the camaraderie of fellow riders.  If you are interested please let me know so we can get a date set in stone soon.  The ride will be restricted to club members and those with personal invites from club members only since the sole purpose is to have a day with the two other loves in our life, bikes and cigars.  Email me for more information or to join our planning committee.

The dates for our ‘Summer Smoke Out’ will be released before long so you can set your vacation plans around it.  Remember, you must at minimum be a paid Premiere Level member or higher to get free admission.  The cost for non members will be $15.00 per family with more information for follow shortly.  It will be an opportunity to bring out the family, if you wish, for a day of play and of course dead meat, beer and cigars!

That’s about all for now you jackals, be there on the 5th or we’ll have your ass deported.
