The Vault

After many months of hard work fellow Brotherhood of the Leaf member Jimmy Constine and his wife Juli are getting ready to open up their new bar, The Vault, in downtown DePere.  The official grand opening is scheduled for February 21st so they are scrambling to finish up all the little things necessary to get the doors open.  The location of The Vault is at 127 N. Broadway and sits in the original State Bank of DePere building built way back in 1876.  You can even see some of the old safety deposit boxes still housed in their original location near the back of the bar.  The new kitchen now occupies space formally used to house the built in steel sided vault.vaultbar.jpg  Sorry guys, I already checked for leftover cash only to come up empty handed.

Many of you may remember this location as Ivan’s Lounge from many years ago and even more recently when it was reopened again as Ivan’s in an attempt to bring back the building to it’s original glory.  After 133 years of use the building needed a lot of work to be ready to open as a new venue that will cater to live music and give you a great place to watch your favorite sporting events with new HD plasma TVs placed for perfect viewing from every bar stool.  vaulttaps.jpg

The reconstruction also required new kitchen equipment, cooler and new tap system.  The new beer lines run a short distance to the keg fridge where a varied selection of your favorite beers will be served at the perfect temperature.  Not only will there be some great beers on tap to choose from, but an extensive list of premium bottled beers and top shelf liquors awaits you when deciding what your favorite drink of the night will be.  The construction work did not stop behind the bar.  Jimmy and Juli, along with the help of several contractors had to revamp much of the electrical system as well as install new flooring, bar top and cooler doors.  The new paint scheme really shows off the classic architecture of the building showcasing the huge arched window in the front of the bar.  You will want to admire much of music and sports themed artwork and pictures throughout the bar.  Your favorite athlete may just adorn the walls.

vaultbackbar.jpgThe Vault will also feature a lunch and dinner menu serving some Wisconsin favorites as well as a sampling of international cuisine.  Don’t miss the Friday fish fry!  vaultfront.jpgCatering to  all clientele, you will feel at home in business attire or in shorts and flip flops.  Of course the best  part about The Vault is that it is CIGAR FRIENDLY!  You can stop in for a great meal, your favorite drink and then finish off with a quality cigar.  There will be a limited selection of cigars available for purchase but rest assured that they will all be top notch smokes.  The Brotherhood of the Leaf cigar club will also be calling The Vault home for our upcoming Cigar Nights and look forward to helping support one of the clubs closest friends.

There will be an open house on Thursday, February 19th and again on Friday the 20th to show off all the hard work Jimmy and Juli have put into the bar.  Please stop by anytime after 5pm to say hi and see all the effort it takes to open up a lifelong dream.  From all the guys in The Brotherhood, we wish The Vault many long years of success and can’t wait to spend our time enjoying the fruits of your labor.

Congratulations JC and Juli!
